Session 3 - The One Where They Attended A Kobold Meeting

20th Sep 2020 19:15 - 22:00 In-game timeline: DR1489 Elesias 4 - Eleasias 5 Having finally managed to cross a bridge, our "Heroes" sally forth into the Kobold den. The first door they come to has a slight sound of buzzing from beyond it. A mild buzzing that scares our group of intrepid explorers. Scares Mahtis so much, in fact, that she moves at a pace further into the den without any thought or care for what is to come. And she promptly falls into an expertly covered pit. The group is beginning to learn that kobolds are, in fact, experts in traps. Nursing her wounds from the fall into the 10' deep pit, Mahtis waits for the rescue rope to be passed down to enable her to get back up. While the others are faffing about handing the rope from one to the other, she looks into one of the 4 quite large holes that are in the walls surrounding the pit. And sees a movement beyond. Sensibly, Mahtis puts her torch into the hole, which serves to stop whatever is down there from emerg

Session 2 - The One Where They Wandered Randomly

13th Sep 2020 19:45 - 22:15 In-game timeline: DR1489 Elesias 2 - Eleasias 4 A short while was spent re-investigating the dead kobolds and checking the area for tracks. The only obvious tracks were from a single kobold, heading south-east, seemingly at a quick pace. Our 'Heroes' decided to follow these tracks, in the absence of finding any Dragonborn tracks. The tracks led through the wood to the edge, and off towards some hills in the near distance. As the party approached the edge of the wood, they came upon a cut-scene strange event evolving before them. The group hid in the trees, some hiding a lot better than others, but luckily the group of creatures they had seen ahead of them were too distracted to notice even the glinting armour of a certain paladin, clanking around the bushes. At the base of the hills ahead of them, a group of four large and well-armoured goblin-oids were carrying a covered palanquin between them and were jogging northwards. Behind them was

Handout - Gwen's Journal

Journal of Gwen, aspiring wizard Much of this journal goes into quite boring detail on where they travel, what they have to eat, minor encounters they have with wildlife etc. She focuses a lot on her own magics, emphasizing when she manages to successfully cast a useful spell, which doesn’t seem to be very often. Of more interest is the final entry....   Approaching Midsummer’s Day We’ve stopped overnight at yet another camp by a wood. Woderick brought along some of that excellent Goblin Brew ale that he purchased (at great expense!) from the inn in Oakhurst. Woderick even charged us to drink some of it, the tight bastard, but it was worth it – lovely stuff! I think Woderick had a little too much of it, though – he was convinced the bushes nearby were moving. We had great fun at his expense, winding him up and pretending to be bushes out to kill him! Come to think of it, maybe we’ve all had a bit too much beer. We head out tomorrow in search of this magic sword, Dragonsboon

Session 1 - The One Where They Met

A disparate group of 'heroes' arrive almost independently in a small town in Faerun - a logging town called Oakhurst. A human paladin, Thomas Covenant, has been here a few days, celebrating the Midsummer festival with the locals and the tourists, and generally boring many with tales of past heroics, that most do not believe. A female dragonborn, a rare sight in these parts, sits on the table next to him - Máhtis is her name, quiet but imposing with gleaming white scales. Two male wood elves arrive, Ramikhand, or Kandi for short, seemingly the subservient companion of the more regal Carro, though it turns out they only met a day or two previously. Forced to sit at the same table, conversation is stilted, but polite. Máhtis admits she is searching for her sister, who was part of an adventuring group last known to be in Oakhurst. Thomas shares little information, though later drops in conversation the fact that he "is familiar with people in a coma" and knows about pears
